Wholesale tour operator Avanti Destinations has partnered with the Spain Tourist Board to educate and inspire advisors and their clients on personalized independent trips to Spain. Avanti sells Independent Personalized Travel (FIT) exclusively through travel advisors.
The new joint campaign focuses on the key cities of Barcelona, Madrid and Seville with three customizable vacation proposals – two of which are new – in a new 24-page e-brochure, “La Buena Vida; Savor the Good Life in Spain”, available on the Avanti Agent Portal.
Along with descriptions of destinations, a sampling of hotels and activities, such as cooking classes, the e-brochure gives advisors useful information for planning an independent trip to and around Spain, including best times to visit, typical food and drink, and transportation. options. Customers can choose self-drive holidays for maximum flexibility or take advantage of Spain’s efficient rail system, particularly its high-speed train network, to connect destinations quickly and easily.
Travel advisors can easily tailor each client’s vacation to suit their specific interests and preferences by choosing from a total of over 180 hotels, 13 recommended vacations and over 100 activities, transfers, tours and experiences that Avanti offers in all of Spain. Experiences featured in the e-brochure include: a paella cooking class with market visit; wine cellar visit; day trip to the picturesque medieval Spanish capital of Toledo; private city tours on foot and by car; tapas walking tour; and flamenco and tapas dinner.
Lock current prices
“Spain is, and deservedly, one of our best-selling European destinations,” said Paul Barry, CEO of Avanti. “With milder winter temperatures and plenty of year-round sunshine, it also has a rich diversity of food, culture, history and scenery. This makes it an ideal single-country destination for a tailor-made independent holiday.
“We are very happy to partner with the Spanish Tourist Board for this campaign. We also strongly recommend that advisors encourage customers to book now to lock in current prices as transport costs are rising and will likely continue to do so,” Barry added.
Two new customizable independent vacations
Of the three vacations featured in the e-brochure, two are new. A new route is by rental car, the other by train. Rental car segments can be added to any rail route to further explore surrounding areas, and the train can replace a rental car for fast travel between cities.
