The Dubai Tourism Police Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigations (CID) recently held a workshop to educate employees in the hospitality sector on smart policing, security procedures and public safety measures.
The workshop, held at the Mvenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai, brought together 125 employees from eight hotels across the emirate to familiarize them with the safest ways to serve Dubai visitors and tourists and ensure their happiness and satisfaction.

According to the Director of the Dubai Tourist Police Department, Col. Khalfan Al Jallaf, these workshops and speakers held by the department throughout the year aim to achieve the Dubai Police’s strategic objectives of improving communication between the public and private sectors.
Col. Al Jallaf pointed out that the workshop discussed various services provided by Dubai Police and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
Participants were introduced to the cybercrime platform, types of drugs and their vices, Smart Police Station (SPS) services and the Lost & Found system in Dubai hotels, in addition to knowing how and when to contact the police in an emergency (999) and non-emergency situations (901).
