1 President Wavel Ramkalawan was the guest of honor at the annual Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) graduation ceremony held at the auditorium of the University of Seychelles (UniSey), Anse Royale, yesterday afternoon.
2 Graduates who attended the morning session due to space restrictions joined the others in the afternoon.
3 Two hundred graduates who have successfully completed their studies in Restaurant and Bar, Food Preparation and Culinary Arts, Hospitality Operations and Services, Tourism and Tour Guides, Reception Operations and Services, Wellness and Spa, as well as in hotel management.
4 Ketsina William, who completed the Advanced Certificate in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts course, won the President’s Cup for Most Outstanding Student.

Prizes were also given to students who achieved the best performance in various areas of the different courses, as well as those who achieved an outstanding overall performance during the duration of their training.
12 In addition, for the second consecutive year, the Confucius Institute Prize was awarded to the top five Mandarin students in the Advanced Certificate.
13 During the ceremony, various recognitions were given to the graduates of the Certificate level; Best Academic Award, Best Practice Award, Best Effort Award, and Overall Award.
14 In Restaurant and Bar, the winners are Hilary Amouna and Christy Bistoquet.
15 In food preparation and culinary arts at certificate level, Kharishna Pillay and Aaron Esparon won the awards.
16 As part of the hosting and operating services certificate, Aruna Rabat and Staelle Sinon were the best.
17 Afterwards, prizes were awarded to those who completed the reception and service operation courses.
18 Tia Savy, Marie-Michelle Hermitte and Marie-Eve Didon win the prizes.
19 For the Advanced Certificate in Restaurant and Bar, awards were given to Jefferson Pierre, Angel Belle and Aury Leon. For the Advanced Food Production Certificate, Ketsina William, Ashley Nourrice, Joshua Chetty were the winners.
20 The best Chinese interpreter was Franchesco Boniface.
21 As part of the Advanced Certificate for Wellness and Spa, Best Academic Lawraine Marie and Andria Antat won the awards.
22 The best Chinese performer was Bryna Albert, while Haley Benoit received the award for best performer.
23 For the Higher Certificate in Operations and Reception Services, the Best Academic Performance and the Best Overall Performance were awarded to Corine Pierre.
24 Prizes were also awarded to Jessica Monthy and Stéphanie Laporte.
25 As part of the Higher Certificate in Tourism and Tourist Guide, the prize for the best academic and practical executor was awarded to Gracy Labiche.
26 Prizes were also awarded to Tiffanie Joseph, Dyniz Finesse and Gaetanne Camille.
27 In the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management, awards were given to Antony Servina, Sherine Woodcock, Medhi Stravens and Martina Luther.
28 In addition to the President’s Cup of Prestigious Awards, Chantelle Cadeau and Husayn Charles received the Directors’ Award for Most Improved Alumna at STA for 2022.
29 The Minister’s Prize was awarded to three graduates of the Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Advanced Diploma programs.
30 This award recognizes students who have achieved outstanding results not only academically, but who have also demonstrated exemplary behavior and professional skills in academia and industry.
31 Students demonstrate an exemplary attitude and have the potential to develop leadership skills.
32 They were Aruna Rabat (Certificate level), Haley Benoit (Advanced Certificate level) and Martina Luther (Advanced Diploma).

34 The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks on behalf of all graduates by Aruna Rabat and Sherine Woodcock.
