Thailand launches 24-hour tourist assistance mobile app “I Lert U” on Google Play and App Store

The ‘I Lert U’ app is free to download from Google Play for Android phones and the App Store for iOS phones and is linked to the Tourist Police’s 1155 Emergency Response Center.

Tourists can download the ‘Tourist Police I Lert U’ mobile app, to enjoy peace of mind while traveling in Thailand.

Free to download from Google Play for Android phones and App Store for iOS phones, the I Lert U app is available in English and Thai. The application is linked to the tourist police emergency response center 1155, where there are also interpreters and translators ready to provide tourist assistance in other languages.

Tourists who need assistance anytime around the clock can use the app to contact the Tourist Police, who will immediately dispatch officers to the scene. Tourists can also take a photo of an incident and upload it through the app to request help.

The Tourist Police is a division of the Royal Thai Police and is dedicated to the safety and welfare of tourists in Thailand. With over 1,900 officers, the Tourist Police operates across the kingdom, including all major tourist destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, Samui and Chiang Mai.
