APPOINTMENT

International Day of Tourist Guides is celebrated on February 21 each year. It was created by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations.

EVENTS

1992 – Then-President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and former Indian Prime Minister Narasimha Rao sign the protocol establishing diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and India.

2012 – The personal exhibition of the famous Kazakh painter Yerbolat Tolepai is held at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna in Asutralia.

2014 – Kazakhsatn Bauyr’s film by Serik Aprymov wins the CICAE prize at the 24th Ciné Junior film festival.

2016 – The Kazakh Karina Nazhmeddinova wins the 1st prize at the 2nd open international festival-competition of songs for children and young people Soprus held in Estonia.

2017 – Kazakh skier Rinat Mukhin wins the country’s first gold medal at the 8th Asian Winter Games held in Sapporo, Japan. In total, Kazakhstan won 32 medals, including nine gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze.

2018 – The conference and the opening of the first monument of Magzhan Zhumabayev abroad in the park of the Keçiören region takes place within the framework of the events of the year of Magzhan Zhumabayev declared by the TURKSOY in Ankara, Turkey.

2019 – The presentation of the Dombyra TV channel takes place in the city of Almaty.

2020 – Kazakh chess player Gulmira Dauletova wins the IM Round robin Third Saturday 129 tournament held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
