Stalls have been removed from a popular tourist beach in Sihanoukville to make the beach ‘beautiful for people, domestic and international tourists’
According to information from the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, Mr. Bou Vathana, Director of Intersectoral Management of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Hall said that the stalls were dismantled at Ochheuteal Beach in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, Province. by Preah Sihanouk.
The director of cross-sectoral management and the chairman of the working group indicated that the construction of these kiosks was built without the authorization of the competent authorities and caused an impact on public beaches.
Provincial authorities, municipal authorities and relevant departments and units have taken care to make the beaches of Sihanoukville City clean and beautiful for people, domestic and international tourists to visit, and do not allow any person or company to own or build public public beaches.
He added that upon inspection and introduction, the owner of the location acknowledged the mistake and cooperated with authorities by agreeing to take it down himself.
