Castries, Saint Lucia: The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority has launched a campaign celebrating Saint Lucia’s entrepreneurial spirit and creativity and encouraging greater ownership of the opportunities that a new direction in tourism policy will provide. The campaign also calls for a strong commitment to making Saint Lucia the best place to live and work.
The theme of the Saint Lucia Tourism Board‘s new multimedia campaign is “Our Saint Lucia”. The Director General of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Lorine Charles-St. Jules said the campaign aims not only to celebrate the progress made in making Saint Lucia a popular destination, but also to actively encourage citizens to seize the opportunities created through a new policy direction for tourism.
The “Our Saint Lucia” campaign highlights biological success stories that can serve as inspiration for the involvement of a new generation in the tourism sector. The SLTA campaign also addresses major social issues that impact the quality of life in the country.
For example, it encourages conversations about solving social issues like peer pressure and crime. The campaign is aimed at young people, urging them to get involved in finding solutions to social problems but also to take ownership of the country’s heritage, both natural and cultural.

The ‘Our Saint Lucia’ awareness campaign is the first phase of a wider public awareness campaign aligned with the government’s new policy direction which aims to ensure Saint Lucians receive a greater share of the benefits of the travel and hospitality industry.
The goal is for travel agents to experience first-hand the full range of romantic island offerings to outfit them in highly recommending the country for marriage proposals, destination weddings, magically intimate vow renewal, adventurous romantic getaways or honeymoons for which the destination is renowned.
